End of the World

Do you believe the Mayans' calendar that the world "as we know it" will end on December 21, 2012? Have you lived your life differently based on your Mayan belief (or non-belief)? Discuss.

12/02/2012 :: day 12

freakin' busy day!

8am: watched Resident Evil: Retribution while eating breakfast. great story! and Milla Jovovich still rocks after 5 movies!! more, more, more!
10am: heard mass at church (the baby slept, the toddler behaved; thank you Lord!)
11am: lunch at Racks in the mall ~ their food is still finger lickin' good after more than a decade!! a bit pricey but once a week "expensive" Sunday family lunch / dinner is our tradition ;-) we got half rack of Pork Ribs (instead of the usual Baby Back Ribs), cornbread, broccoli and cheese, mashed potatoes, garlic rice and seafood chowder. the soup was one of the best I've ever tasted! and it was only $2 with 2 (largish) slices of yummy garlic bread to boot!
12nn: shopping gifts for the in-laws and godchildren. thank God there was an Exporters Expo going on and we got lots of excellent quality clothes :) walked home after and it was raining a bit! hope the kids won't get colds, especially since flu is circulating these days

2pm: put kids on their afternoon naps while hubby and I do our thing (surf the Internet that is, heehee)
430pm: kids are up! we're off to see my parents and bro's family
5pm: waiting for the MRT train ~ it was a tight squeeze inside the compartment! the baby was also not behaving, grabbing clothes and stuff of other people o.O
6pm: saw my mom in a department store's ladies shoes section and she got me a new pair of flats! woohoo! it was around $6 and was white with green ribbon :)
7pm: arrived in the city park for their lights and music show. the place is packed! the restaurants are packed! thankfully my mom was patient enough to fall in line and order our food in BonChon. me, hubby, my bro and our 3 kids (combined, LOL) explored the park. the toddler and my niece kept running / jumping around, and a lil boy tried to play with them. unfortunately my kid snubbed him, tsk
730pm: the lights and music show begins! it was really nice with a bit of fireworks imagery :) funny thing is, our baby fell asleep during the entire show despite the loud Christmas music!
8pm: our dinner is served! however there was no place to eat and my father refused to eat in the park grounds so off we went to my bro's smallish condo. 6 adults + 3 kids in a 30sqm area loaded with home stuff. do the math ;-) it was enjoyable though, and the kids had no eating problems as they were very hungry to begin with. they just gobbled up BonChon's yummy chicken and (bland / oily) fries ^__^ the toddler also kept asking to drink my SIL's milk tea from BreadTalk. yeah, our kid is quite addicted to milk tea, hehe
9pm: began watching Just For Laughs in Disney Channel as we finish dinner. OMG. freakin' hilarious stuff!! my bro, father and hubby were laughing raucously one comedic skit after skit after skit! guys are so easily tickled by stupid things :p the toddler and my niece, meanwhile, were busy playing / quarreling. the baby was laughing along with my bro, and lil old me is trying to stay awake -_-
930pm: finally going home!! my bro and father are taking us back to our condo. the baby is asleep, the toddler still talking up a storm. she's a lil dynamite, this one <sigh>
10pm: home sweet home! put kids to bed then I continue to read Shadowfires (dead man resurrected via genetics and is coming after his ex-wife, tsk) while hubby is busy reading a 20years+ old manga. good night everyone and see you tomorrow! no world news today as I'm bone-tired :p
